Zanuck; about a policeman turned bail bondsman who is friendly with cops and criminals, and who is not beyond doing unethical things to further his career; oddly, he has a sister who speaks with an English accent, which is never explained!) starring George Bancroft, Frances Dee, Chick Chandler, Judith Anderson, Blossom Seeley, and Lucille Ball (in an early uncredited role!)
