Hymer and LeRoy Clemens"; about an American who falls in love with a beautiful native dancer on a tropical island, but she has a native boyfriend, but everything works out in the end when the American finds a white woman and the native couple is reunited) starring Gilda Gray (in the title role as Aloma), Percy Marmont, Warner Baxter, Julanne Johnston, and William Powell (right before he appeared in Beau Geste). Note that this movie was loosely remade in 1941 under the same title with Dorothy Lamour in the title role. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).
