(Learn More) Mary of Scotland, the 1936 John Ford historical Scottish royalty romantic biography melodrama ("History called her the 'Temptress'..."; "One of the greatest love stories of all time... brought to the screen by a marvelous cast of famous stars"; "From the play by Maxwell Anderson") starring Katharine Hepburn (in the title role as Mary, Queen of Scots), Fredric March, Florence Eldridge (as Queen Elizabeth I), Douglas Walton, John Carradine, "And A Tremendous Cast of Famous Stars" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that RKO was either expecting this movie to be a major blockbuster, or they were wanting it to appear that way, because they made an incredibly elaborate 76 page 12" x 15" pressbook for this movie that is bound at the spine like a softcover book! There was also a deluxe boxed version that was apparently sent to major theaters! Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Condition: good, WITH CUTS. There is a small newspaper ad cut out on page 37, which measures around 2" x 4" (the back of that page is blank).
