A Linenbacked French Art Print (measures 26" x 38 3/4" [66 x 98 cm]) (Learn More)

Monaco, the French poster promoting the 40th Monaco Grand Prix Formula One race which was held from May 20th to the 23rd in 1982, and featuring art of a race car in action. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Important Added Info: Note that this is not the first release poster from 1982. We are told that it was printed in the 1980s (perhaps 1985) by the Museum of the Automobile in Nice, and that they are slightly smaller than the original posters were. We are told they were printed in a limited edition with high quality printing (and the poster is quite nice!). NOTE THAT THIS POSTER WAS INTENDED TO BE IN PART I OF THIS MAJOR AUCTION (because it can be sent rolled in a "regular" tube that is 30" long), BUT IT WAS ACCIDENTALLY "MISSED", SO IT IS BEING INCLUDED IN PART II INSTEAD (where there are other linenbacked posters, but only oversized ones). But really, it doesn't mean much, since it is still in the Major Auction!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and had the most minor of border defects. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
