A 1950 Re-Release (re-titled "Fighting Command" for this re-release) Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Texas to Tokyo (also released as "We've Never Been Licked"), the 1943 John Rawlins World War II (WWII) college military school melodrama ("Walter Wanger's Spectacular Triumph"; "Inspired by the Fighting Sons of Texas A. & M."; the movie follows young men at Texas A & M military school, who are about to go overseas; there is a subplot involving Japanese spies, and helping them is William Frawley of "I Love Lucy" fame, or is he a double agent?) starring Richard Quine, Anne Gwynne, Noah Beery Jr., Martha O'Driscoll, Harry Davenport, William Frawley, Edgar Barrier, Robert Mitchum (billed as "Bob Mitchum"), Mantan Moreland, and Richard Gunn. Note that Robert Mitchum had gotten married in 1940, and quickly had a son the following year. He broke into the movies and had minor parts in Hopalong Cassidy movies. He was in the military for less than a year, but was given an exemption because of having a wife and son. The same year he appeared in this movie, he had his second child! Important Added Info: Note that this movie was re-released in 1950, and since Robert Mitchum had achieved major stardom in the seven years since the movie was made, he received major billing, even though he was 8th billed during the original release!
