Svengali, the 1954 (released in the U.S. in 1955) Noel Langley English romantic horror hypnosis thriller ("Master of Trilby!"; "She was a slave to his will!"; "From the story by George Du Maurier"; "From the Novel by George du Maurier") starring Hildegarde Neff (as Trilby), Donald Wolfit (in the title role as Svengali), Terence Morgan ("By arrangement with J. Arthur Rank Organisation"), Derek Bond, and Paul Rogers. Note that there was a 1931 version of this movie starring John Barrymore in the title role.
