Prior to paperbacking, the card had pinholes, tears, and tiny areas of paper loss around the edges, with some smudges and scuffs within the image. There is a light foreign stamp in the top center of the card. Overall, the lobby card was in fair to good condition prior to paperbacking. The card was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and the restorer did not address the light foreign stamp at top center.
