An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12 1/4" x 15 1/4" [31 x 39 cm]; 32 pages) (Learn More)

Bahama Passage, the 1941 Edward H. Griffith Caribbean Bahamas tropical island romantic melodrama ("Based on a story by Nelson Hayes") starring Madeleine Carroll, Sterling Hayden (billed as "Stirling Hayden"; in his first starring role!), Flora Robson, Leo G. Carroll, Mary Anderson, Cecil Kellaway, and Dorothy Dandridge. Note that the love scenes in this movie got fairly hot and heavy, which could account for why Sterling Hayden and Madeleine Carroll ended up getting married!

Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook has been personally autographed (signed) by Mary Anderson! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic.Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this pressbook!

Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Finally, note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
