The Countess of Monte Cristo, the 1948 Frederick De Cordova romantic ice skating sports musical comedy ("A Musical Ice-Travaganza!"; "Story by Walter Reisch") starring Sonja Henie (in her final Hollywood appearance), Michael Kirby, Olga San Juan, Dorothy Hart, Arthur Treacher, and Freddie Trenkler. Note that, despite the title, this movie bears no connection to the Alexandre Dumas characters (the title refers to a brief segment at the beginning of the movie where the characters are auditioning for a "movie within a movie" named "The Countess of Monte Cristo".)

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, minor wear on the foldlines, and pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the poster is slightly "lifting" from the linen in the left of the bottom border (any restorer could re-glue those areas without re-backing the poster)
