Never such adventure, such romance! Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14 1/4" x 18 1/2" [36 x 47 cm]. Also note that this poster was printed on the back of an old map! During World War II in Belgium, there was a massive paper shortage, and so they used whatever paper they could find to print the movie posters, and in many cases they used old maps, and printed the movie posters on the reverse. They often also made the posters smaller, so they could get more posters printed. This practice continued for a couple of years after World War II. Since these posters are original, and since all such posters are printed on the back of maps or other posters, this is not considered a defect by almost all collectors. Finally, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). There are a few stains and pieces of tape on the back of the poster around the edges that very slightly bleed through to the front in background and border areas. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and if one chose to have it restored it would look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
