An Original Vintage Theatrical Three-Sheet Movie Poster (Learn More) Big Tremaine, the 1916 Henry Otto silent romantic melodrama starring Harold Lockwood, May Allison, and Lester Cuneo. Note that Lester Cuneo had been a major comedy star at the Selig Studio in 1912, but after just a few movies, he chose to re-invent himself as a cowboy star, and had success there as well, also playing dramatic roles at the same time. He served in World War I (WWI), and returned to Hollywood and again began making westerns, playing a character billed as "The Smiling Daredevil". But by the early 1920s, his westerns were less and less successful, and after a series of personal and professional failures, Cuneo could not get any parts at all, and he committed suicide in 1925.
