An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 37") (Learn More) El Marido de mi novia (literally translates to "Husband of My Girlfriend"), the 1951 Rene Cardona Mexican romantic comedy (about a female thief who supports her disabled husband, but it turns out he was faking and cheating on her) starring Maria Elena Marques, Abel Salazar, Gloria Rios, Luis Beristain, Dagoberto Rodriguez, Los Diamantes, Mona Gildes, and Adelina Garcia. Note that poster artist Josep Renau also created artwork during the Spanish Civil War! It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Josep Renau Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Condition: good to very good. There is separation and tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. Note that this Mexican poster is SOMEWHAT fragile! Mexican posters were printed on a paper stock that often ages very poorly, and also darkens. This poster has darkened somewhat and is quite fragile (but of course, any talented restorer could linenback the poster, after which it would look great).
