Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss at each crossfold and in the right of the bottom horizontal fold and in the bottom quarter of the vertical fold, with only slight wear on the other folds. There was a 6" vertical tear in the middle right of the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. It is fortunate that the areas of paper loss are primarily in areas that would be fairly easy for a talented restorer to replace, because they are mostly background or solid colors.
