An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded German Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 9 1/2" x 14 3/4" [24 x 37 cm]) (Learn More)

Furst Woronzeff (literally translates to "Prince Woronzeff"), the 1934 Arthur Robison German royalty mistaken identity romantic love triangle melodrama (about a German Baron who has a friend who looks incredibly like him; when the Baron becomes sick, he asks his friend to substitute for him, and the Baron's wife sees through the impersonation, but she loves the friend, so she goes along with it!; but then the Baron dies, and the friend wants to quit the impersonation, but if he does, he jeopardizes his country's future) starring Brigitte Helm, Albrecht Schoenhals (in the title role as Furst Woronzeff and as the Baron), Hansi Knoteck, Willy Birgel, Heinrich Berg, and Fritz Odemar. Note that if this movie sounds familiar, it is because its plot was heavily "borrowed" in the Robert Heinlein novel "Double Star", which was written in 1956, and again was borrowed in the 1993 movie "Dave", starring Kevin Kline.

Artist: Siegfried Trieb
Important Added Info: There are very few German movie posters from before World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums.

Condition: good to very good. There is a thin strip of paper loss in the bottom blank border. It goes up to the writing at the bottom, but does not affect the letters. There is slight darkening and tiny stains in the rest of the borders, with a few creases. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition, especially considering its age.
