An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 4" x 7" [10 x 18 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Tom Brown of Culver, the 1932 William Wyler military academy soldier juvenile cadet melodrama (about a boy whose father died an received the Congressional Medal of Honor, and he gets a scholarship to a military academy, and then he learns that his father was actually a deserter!) starring Tom Brown, Slim Summerville, Richard Cromwell, H.B. Warner, Andy Devine, Russell Hopton, Ben Alexander, Sidney Toler, Willard Robertson, and Betty Blythe. Note that 17 year old Tyrone Power has a bit part as one of the soldiers, no doubt because his father was great friends with director William Wyler, but he did not get noticed and he went to Broadway, but returned a few years later and became a giant star. Finally, note that the star of the movie is Tom Brown, and his character is named the same, and the movie itself has his name in it, and yet he was not a major star, and was not even a minor star, and was not in his first role, so we have no idea why this occurred. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
