An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24 1/4" x 33 1/4" [62 x 84 cm]) (Learn More) Princesse, a vos ordres!, the 1931 Hanns Schwarz & Max de Vaucorbeil French romantic comedy starring Lilian Harvey, Henri Garat (billed as "Henry Garat"), Jean Mercanton, Marcel Vibert, and Bill Bocket. This was a French version of "Ihre Hoheit befiehlt" (Her Grace Commands), made by UFA in 1931. Universal did the same thing with "Dracula" in 1931. They filmed the movie twice, once in English, and once in Spanish, with two entirely different casts, U.S. actors for the English version and mostly Latin actors for the Spanish version, obviously for release in Spanish speaking countries, and the same was done with this movie, except it was only made in a French and German version (the German language version starred Kathe von Nagy). In 1933, William Dieterle made an English language version called "Adorable", starring Janet Gaynor, but it was made by Fox and not by UFA, and it was NOT filmed at the same time as the earlier two movies, so it is simply a remake. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. The poster is in much lesser condition. There are several defects scattered along the edges and foldlines/crossfolds and there are several significant areas of foldline and/or crossfold separation. Many of the defects have been repaired with tape from the back that may bleed through to the front.
