An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More)

Shadows of the Night, the 1928 D. Ross Lederman crimefighting canine dog thriller ("Original story be Ted Shane") starring Flash the Dog (the German Shepherd detective), Lawrence Gray, Louise Lorraine, Warner P. Richmond, and Tom Dugan. Note that Flash the Wonder Dog first appeared as a puppy in 1925's "His Master's Voice" and appeared in eight more movies over the next 13 years (which makes us wonder if his owner didn't pull a "switch" somewhere along the way). If anyone knows more about Flash the Wonder Dog, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: fine. This poster was linenbacked and during the backing process, its extremely minor defects were repaired and it now looks really great! We only assigned this grade ("fine") to posters that were in really excellent condition prior to linenbacking, and which were linenbacked by a top professional.

The poster had an extra crease 1/2" above the bottom foldline, a small area of paper loss in the middle of the right blank border, and pinholes in the corners, but other than these basically very minor defects, it was in quite nice condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed and looks great!
