An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Harold Bell Wright's The Shepherd of the Hills, the 1941 Henry Hathaway Ozarks cowboy western ("Based on the Novel by Harold Bell Wright"; "America's most beloved drama of the human heart! In glorious Technicolor"; about a mysterious stranger who arrives in the Ozarks and gets involved with a beautiful young mountain girl who has a moonshiner fiance, who has vowed to kill his own father) starring John Wayne, Betty Field, Harry Carey Sr., Beulah Bondi, James Barton, Samuel S. Hinds, Marjorie Main, and Marc Lawrence. Note that this movie had been made in 1919 and again in 1928, but this John Wayne version is the best remembered one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet has been slightly trimmed on all four sides and it now measures 27" x 41". Apparently, the poster measured larger than 27" x 41" in both directions, and someone trimmed it so it would fit a standard size frame. Condition: fair. There is much separation along the vertical foldline of the poster and someone backed the entire vertical foldline with thick masking tape. The tape slightly bleeds through to the front and makes the poster quite difficult to unfold. The poster otherwise has a few other defects that can be clearly seen in our super-sized image, but it is mostly "all there" and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
