An Original Vintage Unfolded Special Radio Station Poster (measures 21" x 22") (Learn More)

WNEW AM 1130, the 1980s radio poster ("Blessed with America's Best") featuring artwork of Ella Fitzgerald. WNEW was founded in 1934 and was known for its popular adult music selection as well as its staff of radio personalities. In 1935, WNEW pioneered the concept of a disc jockey when staff announcer Martin Block needed to fill time between news bulletins, and played records instead of the usual live orchestra. The station shut down in 1992.

Condition: fine. The poster is still in its unopened shrink wrap with a thin cardboard backing. Note that the bottom corners of this poster are trimmed at an angle to allow the poster to be displayed in a special frame and this is not considered to be a defect.
