A Walter Lantz Woody Woodpecker Cartune, the 1950 Walter Lantz animated animation cartoon comedy compilation ("The latest antics of the Nation's No.1 laugh bird!") starring Woody and featuring "other Walter Lantz Famous Cartune Characters". Of course, Woody Woodpecker is the animated cartoon bird created by Walter Lantz & Ben 'Bugs' Hardaway in 1940 for Walter Lantz Animation Studio. At first, the voice of Woody was supplied by Mel Blanc, but after several other people filled that position, Walter Lantz' wife, Grace Stafford, got the job! A balloon featuring the character has long been a staple of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and he has a star on on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He also appeared in many comic books.
