She was best remembered for her role as Hot Lips Houlihan in Robert Altman's "MASH" (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and for appearing in other Altman movies including Brewster McCloud, and Welcome to L.A. She also appeared as Dr. Dehner in the original Star Trek TV series (in the "Where No Man Has Gone Before" episode).
