Zanuck"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; about a reporter who pretends to be Jewish in order to cover a story on anti-Semitism and personally discovers the depth of bigotry and hatred, even in otherwise "decent" people) starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Dorothy McGuire (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), John Garfield (he was a major star at the time, but he was Jewish, and he took a small role in this movie as a Jewish man who endures prejudice, because of how deeply he believed in what it was saying!), Celeste Holm (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Anne Revere (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), June Havoc, Albert Dekker, Jane Wyatt, and Dean Stockwell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good to very good. The theater that used the slide needed to scratch out the first part of the play dates area. There are also stains in the cardboard holder.
