Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds, and creases, tiny tears, and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of several folds. It had pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. It had an irregular 8" tear in the upper left extending into Martin's cheek, chin, and bow tie, and into the background to the right of it. It had some smudges scattered throughout. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
