An Unfolded French Advertising Poster (measures 47 1/4" x 63" [120 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Escargots Menetrel, the circa 1930s French advertising poster promoting a brand of escargot (snails) which were available at Aux Parcs de Bourgogne, and featuring art of a man with a fork hiding behind a red leaf and watching a snail by Rudd. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Rudd Condition: good. The large blank borders of the poster have darkened substantially and have become quite brittle with age, and there are some areas of paper loss along them (and the poster is difficult to handle without losing some of the edge paper.) The art of the poster itself has darkened in some areas but remains largely intact. The poster is in urgent need of restoration, and certainly a competent restorer could repair the defects described above, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid.
