Note that this was one of Hollywood's first realistic looks at alcoholism that was not heavy handed and one-dimensional, and it has not really dated at all, and it remains a very powerful movie, with great writing, acting, cinematography, and direction. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines. It had some tiny tears and tiny paper loss in the borders, with a stain in the bottom left blank corner, and some black dot stains in that area (likely a minor printing defect). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
