Lewis, Linda Stirling (in the title role as The Black Whip!), Lucien Littlefield, Francis McDonald, Hal Taliaferro, John Merton, Tom Chatterton, John Hamilton, and Robert J. Wilke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created by ** for use for all chapters of their "Zorro's Black Whip" serial. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank rectangle in the bottom right. They would be sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific chapters of the serial, and they could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. There were also stock posters from this serial that were overprinted with the names of the specific chapters, for theaters willing to purchase an entire set of them. Condition: good. The poster had paper loss at each crossfold and creases, smudges, tears, and areas of paper loss down the center of the poster and in the left half of the bottom horizontal foldline. There was a lesser amount of wear on the other folds and smudges in the yellow background areas. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and some areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the restoration of the above defects (if I owned this poster, I would likely want to have additional restoration performed, either with or without re-backing the poster).
