ILSA SHE WOLF OF THE SS ILSA SHE WOLF OF THE SS Italian 1p OR search current auctions Auction History Result 6w035 ILSA SHE WOLF OF THE SS signed Italian 1p 1975 by Dyanne Thorne & Howard Maure, art by Luca! Date Sold 6/13/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original 1975 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) Ilsa, She Wolf of the S.S., the 1974 Don Edmonds German/U.S. World War II (WWII) Nazi Germany sexploitation torture horror movie ("From the company that gave you 'Mark of the Devil, 'Last House on the Left' and 'Don't Look in the Basement' and now The Ultimate!"; "The most dreaded Nazi of them all!"; "She committed crimes so terrible... even the SS feared her!"; "Who's that woman with Hitler?"; "My name is Ilsa! I turned my lovers into lampshades!"; "Warning: Some members of the public may find certain scenes in this film offensive and shocking - The Management"; about a sadistic female warden in Nazi Germany; one of several "Ilsa" movies) starring Dyanne Thorne (in the title role as Ilsa), Gregory Knoph, Tony Mumolo, Maria Marx, and George 'Buck' Flower. Note that the original U.S. one-sheet released for this movie had the super offensive tagline, "My name is Ilsa ! I turned my lovers into lampshades!". Apparently this was going too far (even for the makers of this ultra-offensive Nazi sexploitation movie!), and a new poster was created that did not have this tagline. The posters with the "lampshade" tagline are far more rare than the ones without them, and sell for a huge amount of money. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Luciano 'Luca' Crovato Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by Dyanne Thorne and Howard Maure (husband of Dyanne Thorne and best known for his roles in the Ilsa films)! Our consignor obtained this signed poster from a relative of John Dunning, who was the founder of Cinepix/Lionsgate in Canada. Mr. Dunning was close friends with Ms. Thorne, and our consignor (and we) believe that the autograph on this poster is definitely authentic, but he does not have a certificate of authenticity. Know that we are not "autograph experts"! We strongly suggest that all bidders do whatever research they want to do about the autographs BEFORE placing bids (such as comparing the signatures to other known signatures found on the Internet). But we also know how hard it is to be certain of an autograph's authenticity when you are not seeing the item in person. So, to make certain that we only have satisfied buyers, we will give anyone who purchases any of these a 30 day return privilege (from the date the auction closes) on any of these autographed items, and of course, that gives every buyer plenty of time to be 100% certain that they have purchased a genuine autograph! But realize that you can't return items AFTER 30 days (from the auction's closing), so be sure to do whatever checking and authenticating you need to do either before the auction ends, or within the 30 days. Condition: good to very good. The poster has separation and tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and a few tiny tears in parts of the middle horizontal fold, and some darkening and tiny tears in parts of the borders. There are two tiny areas of paper loss in the upper left, to the left and right of the "A" of "LA". It had a 3" tear near the top of the vertical fold, in the image by the "A" of "ILSA". There is a tear in the middle of the left border where the paper was folded back, but there is no paper loss. After a relatively simple linenbacking, the poster will look great!
