An Original Vintage Folded French "Affiche" Poster (23x32; measures 22 1/4" x 30 1/2" [57 x 77 cm]) (Learn More) Si Paris nous etait conte (released in English-speaking countries as "If Paris Were Told to Us"), the 1956 Sacha Guitry French historical comedy starring Francoise Arnoul, Jeanne Boitel, Danielle Darrieux, Gilbert Boka, and Sacha Guitry. Note that director/star Sacha Guitry was a major figure of French cinema and French stage plays. He wrote his first play while still a teenager, and did not get involved with movies until he was 30, but then he wrote, directed, and sometimes starred in a huge volume of work, both on the stage and the screen. He was accused of collaborating with the Nazis in World War II, and although he was allowed to work again in 1947, his career was never the same. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has pinholes around the edges (some are torn or enlarged due to rough removal) and some paper loss in the upper right background next to the art (see our image).
