An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #4 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet the Killer, Boris Karloff, the 1949 Charles Barton screwball horror comedy ("More Ghoulish glee... Than when they met Frankenstein!"; "Help") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Boris Karloff, Lenore Aubert, and Gar Moore. Note that this movie was originally titled "Easy Does It", and it was intended to be a Bob Hope comedy! However, the movie "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" had just come out and was a huge hit, and Universal reworked the script for Abbott & Costello, and changed the title to "Abbott and Costello Meet the Killers"! In that script, the lead villain was a FEMALE character named "Madame Switzer"! Five days before shooting began, Boris Karloff was hired, and the character became a swami, and the title of the movie was changed yet again, to include Boris Karloff's name! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There is paper loss in all four blank corners. There was a pinhole in the edge of Karloff's eye, by his nose and a 2" semi-circular tear near the center of the bottom of the card. Someone put a piece of paper tape on the back of that tear, and put another piece of tape on the back of the above pinhole, and they did slight touch up to the edge of Karloff's eye (and it is truly not very noticeable at all).
