Date Sold 11/22/2012Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Stage Play Still (Learn More) Hell's Bells, the 1925 Broadway stage play production (of Barry Conners' play) starring Humphrey Bogart (in his fifth stage play role, long before he became a movie actor!), Shirley Booth (in her first role ever, decades before she became famous for movies like "Come Back Little Sheba" and in TV's "Hazel"), James Cherry, Clinton Self, and Virginia Howell. Advertising of any kind from when this show was first performed is virtually non-existent, although some images from it were used many years later to illustrate the start of these two stars' careers! Important Added Info: Note that this still is dated 1945 on the back and was used in a magazine. It was likely made when Humphrey Bogart was making "Conflict" that year, and they were no doubt showing how Bogart had looked at the start of his career (they incorrectly put 1922 on the snipe on the back, but of course, back then there was no Internet to check such things!). Also, note that his love interest is Shirley Booth, in her first role, MUCH later the quintessential maid on TV's "Hazel"! Finally, note that this still is printed on Velox paper, but we believe it to surely be an original still. Sometimes, studios would run out of stills and have extras printed on different stock. Condition: good. The still was used in a magazine and there is a white paint circle around the two stars. Learn More about condition grades
