Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Swedish Movie Poster (measures 27" x 39") (Learn More) Ladies of Leisure, the 1930 Frank Capra pre-Code romantic melodrama (about a wealthy young man who falls in love with a beautiful gold-digger, but he is not convinced she can ever change, and she tries to convince him otherwise) starring Barbara Stanwyck, Lowell Sherman, Ralph Graves, Marie Prevost, and Nance O'Neil NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: fine. There were some creases in the upper left of the background (in the yellow area) and a couple in the second "A" of the title, but they were greatly minimized by linenbacking. Otherwise, this poster was in great condition prior to backing and looks. Most of the linenbacked posters we sell were restored by the finest professionals. An expertly linenbacked poster will often appear "mint", as its defects have been made to "vanish".
