An Original Vintage Theatrical Chapter #8 (Wings of Disaster) Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Tailspin Tommy in The Great Air Mystery, the 1935 Ray Taylor airplane aviation action adventure serial starring Clark Williams (in the title role as Tailspin Tommy Tompkins), Jean Rogers, Noah Beery Jr., Delphine Drew, and Pat J. O'Brien (billed as "Pat O'Brien"; not THE Pat O'Brien who was part of the "Irish Mafia" with Cagney and McHugh, but another actor who appeared in 17 films between 1921 and 1941). Note that Clark Williams was signed to a contract by Universal in the early 1930s, and they apparently had high hopes for him, giving him the lead role in this serial. But while he made three movies in 1935, he was uncredited in his single movie in 1936, and then he pretty much disappeared. We found a reference to him having become a stage director in the 1940s, and he lived all the way until 1989, but we don't know what happened to him in the intervening years. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. There is a tiny tear in the upper left blank border that was repaired with tape from the back. There are a few small creases in the bottom left blank corner. Otherwise, the card is in excellent condition!
