Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a heavy paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, around one half of the left, bottom, and right blank borders were trimmed off. There were creases, tears, and some stains around the edges, with an L-shaped tear starting in the left of the top border going down into the film reel, and then going to the right throught the bottom of the top oval within the reel. There were tears and small paper loss in the bottom right of the image and the bottom of O'Brien's arm. Overall, the window card was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The window card was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
