An Original Vintage Herald (measures 7" x 9 1/2" [18 x 24 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) Interference, the 1928 Roy Pomeroy romantic mistaken identity melodrama ("Paramount's first all-talking entertainment"; "A Paramount All-Talking Picture"; "Based upon a Lothar Mendes production from the play by Roland Petwee and Harold Dearden and screen play by Hope Loring"; an interesting story of a man who is reported killed, and he uses the opportunity to start life over; but his wife thinks he is dead and remarries; a former female friend of his finds him, and decides to blackmail the wife, who has remarried a rich English Lord; the man finds out he is terminally ill, and he kills the blackmailer, which allows his former wife to have happiness) starring Evelyn Brent, Clive Brook, Doris Kenyon, William Powell, and Tom Ricketts. Note that this movie was Paramount's very first all-talking feature film. As was common around the advent of sound films, a silent version was filmed at the same time by Lothar Mendes.
