4 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Going to Congress, the 1924 Rob Wagner silent political government satirical comedy short (produced by Hal Roach; about a naive boob who is hand picked to run for congress, specifically because they feel that he can be "handled", but he turns the tables on his handlers) starring Will Rogers, Molly Thompson, Marie Mosquini, William Gillespie, and Charlie Hall. Note that if this plot summary sounds familiar, it is because Frank Capra used a much expanded version of it in 1939's "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"!

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a glass slide (and NO other movie paper of any kind) from this movie until we received this group of 4 lobby cards!

Condition: very good. One of the cards has small number stamps in the right of the bottom and smudges at top center. The other three cards mostly only have darkening in the extreme outer edges. Each has a penciled number written in the top right corner. Otherwise, the cards are in nice condition. Note that these lobby cards are completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back of any of them!
