Lee Thompson revenge crime film noir ("Now, he had only one weapon left - Murder! ...to prevent an even more shocking crime!"; "Their ordeal of terror triggers the screen's most savage war of nerves!"; "Unparalleled suspense... As one becomes a target for nightmare... The other becomes his target for execution!"; "A terrifying war of nerves unparalleled in suspense!!!"; about a lawyer who looked the other way while a deranged client was sent to jail, and now that client has been released and blames the lawyer for what happened to him) starring Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum (as Max Cady), Polly Bergen, Lori Martin, Martin Balsam, Jack Kruschen, Telly Savalas (in his fourth credited movie role!), Barrie Chase, and Edward Platt. Note that the film was initially storyboarded by Alfred Hitchcock who was going to direct, but he quit over a dispute. Important Added Info: Note that these are CAMERA ORIGINAL negatives, the actual film that was in the camera when the photographer shot each image. In the case of this one lot, it has two different size negatives in it (six of them are 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and the rest are 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"). Some of the images are candid images. We have taken a scan of the negatives as they appear, and also a special scan of the negatives that show the "positive image" of each. We will provide the winning bidder of this auction with those positive image scans. Note that every one of these 365 auctions have had their transparencies and/or negatives scanned expertly.
