An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Christmas in July, the classic 1940 Preston Sturges romantic screwball comedy (about a lowly office worker who is deceived into believing he has won a major contest and he quits his job and goes on a spending spree, but he really hasn't won, but everything magically works out in the end!) starring Dick Powell, Ellen Drew, Raymond Walburn, William Demarest, Ernest Truex, and Al Bridge. If you like Preston Sturges movies, you are certain to really like this one! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned four examples of this one-sheet, and the last one was 11 years ago, when it sold for $476 in only "fair to good" condition! Condition: good to very good. The poster has a thin strip of paper loss in the upper center, mostly in the green background but slightly affecting the green art (see our image). It has tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold and separation at the center crossfold. It has pinholes and tears around the edges with a few small stains scattered in the poster.
