Date Sold 2/22/2011 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 1966 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Photobusta Movie Posters (pbustas; measure 18 1/4" x 26 1/2" [46 x 67 cm]) (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M For Murder, the classic 1954 Alfred Hitchcock 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) romantic love triangle crime murder mystery detective suspense thriller ("...is that you, darling?"; "Written by Frederick Knott who wrote the International Stage Success"; "If a woman answers... hang on for dear life!"; "Is this the man she was waiting for... or the man who was waiting for her?"; "Perfect 3 Dimension in the Hitchcock manner!") starring Ray Milland, Grace Kelly, Robert Cummings (Bob Cummings), John Williams, and Anthony Dawson. Note that, although this movie was filmed in 3-D, none of the original posters mention it at all (there is an explanation in the pressbook that because they know many theaters will not show it in 3-D, "the ads have been designed so that the 3D copy may be eliminated" [and obviously, this is why they did not put 3-D on the posters]). Important Added Info: Note that it is difficult to accurately date Italian posters, and some unmarked re-release posters can be extremely difficult to distinguish from first releases, so please bear that in mind before you place a bid. Also note that these posters were folded down the middle at one time but have been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There is a series of small holes that form numbers at top in each poster, typical of Italian posters of this period.
