Gordon Edwards silent Biblical historical romantic betrayal melodrama ("The seductress who sowed sin in ancient Galilee, whose tempestuous blood has traced a scarlet thread through the centuries"; "A Theda Bara Super Production"; based on the Biblical story of Salome, King Herod, and John the Baptist) starring Theda Bara ("Siren supreme of the screen"; in the title role as Salome), G. Raymond Nye (as King Herod), Alan Roscoe (as John the Baptist), Herbert Hayes, and Bertram Grassby. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. There is lots of glue residue on the back of the poster. When the glue was applied, it resulted in faint rippling throughout the card. There are stains and smudges in the blank borders (some extend into the image background). There is a small area of surface paper loss in the top left corner. There are a couple of tiny glue stains in the center of the card. A talented restorer could brighten the card and remove the stains (without painting over the image) and the card would look magnificent! Learn More about condition grades
