2 Original Vintage Theatrical Color-Glos 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More)

Confirm or Deny, the 1941 Archie Mayo England World War II (WWII) newspaper reporter journalism romantic melodrama ("Was England invaded?"; "Based on the story by Henry Wales and Samuel Fuller"; about an American war correspondent in London just prior to America's entry into World War II, and the pretty English government employee who has to keep him from transmitting sensitive news, and naturally, they fall in love) starring Don Ameche, Joan Bennett, Roddy McDowall, John Loder, Raymond Walburn, Arthur Shields, Eric Blore, and Queenie Leonard. Note that Sam Fuller had become a New York newspaper reporter as a young teenager, and at 17 was put in charge of the events section of the New York Journal! He began writing screenplays, often with a newspaper theme, as was the case with this movie, which was co-written by Fuller.

Important Added Info: Note that these are "color-glos" stills. This was a special kind of color printing that the studios experimented with in the late 1930s and 1940s. It has a different effect than regular color printing, and color-glos stills were made in both an 8x10 and 11x14 format, primarily only for major releases. They are far more rare than regular color or black & white stills.

Condition: very good. There are some very minor creases and tiny indentations scattered throughout the stills but they are only noticeable when held at an angle to the light. There are light brown stains on the back of the stills but they do not appear to have any effect on the front.
