The Great Moment, the 1944 Preston Sturges historical medical dentist inventor romantic comedy melodrama ("Written and Directed by Preston Sturges"; "From the man who made 'The Miracle of Morgan's Creek' and 'Hail The Conquering Hero'"; set in the 1840s, about the dentist who invented anesthesia, but who unfortunately never personally profited from it) starring Joel McCrea, Betty Field, Harry Carey Sr., William Demarest, Franklin Pangborn, and Porter Hall

Important Added Info: Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
