His most notable roles were as Count Dracula in many of the Hammer Horror films. Some of his other movies include: The Wicker Man, Man With the Golden Gun, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the final two movies of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and scores of others! In all, he appeared in over 250 movies! He passed away in 2015 at the age of 93. Important Added Info: Note that this bookplate has been personally autographed (signed) by Christopher Lee! It is in a plastic sleeve that is attached to a shrink-wrapped copy of the book "Christopher Lee: Tall, Dark and Gruesome" from Midnight Marquee Press, and obviously, the intention was for the recipients to put the bookplate inside the book once they had taken it out of the shrink-wrap, but this buyer never got around to doing that. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fine.
