There is an authentication sticker in the bottom right corner of the poster from Beckett, and the number and QR code on the sticker can be used to verify the signature(s) on their website. Also note that this one-sheet measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]. Our consignor tells us that this was a double-sided poster, for those who care about that (you can't tell because it has now been linenbacked). From the 1990s on, posters were often made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster sustained damage while it was rolled up, which resulted in two lines of unevenly spaced vertical creases down the left side of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. You can see the crease marks described above, so bear this in mind before bidding on this poster. Note that the restorer left a tiny bit of excess linen around all four sides of the poster (they left a small border in order to protect the poster from handling damage, but they did not leave a larger border, to allow it to more easily fit in a frame).
