An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Teaser Cuban Movie Poster (measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) La Vides es Silbar (released in the U.S. in 1999 as "Life Is to Whistle"), the 1998 Fernando Perez Spanish/Cuban music comedy melodrama starring Jose Andrade, Maudelet Badia, Elena Bolanos, Rolando Brito, and Alina Canizares Artist: Nelson Ponce Important Added Info: Note that silkscreen (also known as screen printing) is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a poster. Only one color is printed at a time, so several screens must be used to produce a multicolored design, and it is a laborious technique because it is traditionally all done by hand. Because of the rich thickness of the layer of color on the paper and the resulting depth and brilliance achieved through silkscreen printing, this technique was preferred by many artists throughout many cultures and periods. Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this partially Cuban movie! Finally note that this is a teaser Cuban poster (note the complete lack of credits on the poster).
