The Shannons of Broadway, the 1929 Emmett J. Flynn New York City Broadway vaudeville stage acting family relationship comedy ("O, how they could love! O, how they could fight!"; written by James Gleason, from his own play) starring James Gleason, Lucile Gleason (billed as "Lucille Gleason"; they are both billed together as "The Gleasons [James & Lucille]"; in the title role as The Shannons), Charley Grapewin (billed as "Charles Grapewin"), Mary Philbin, and John Breeden. Note that James and Lucille Gleason were at this time considered one of the great comedy teams, and Mr. Gleason wrote this play about their own lives, and then helped adapt it into this movie. Also note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
