Zanuck"; "Based on the Novel by Sy Barlett and Beirne Lay, Jr."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; about American pilots in England in World War II, and how the strain of facing death every day causes them to become fearful and unbalanced, and about the no-nonsense general who tries to change things) starring Gregory Peck (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as General Frank Savage), Hugh Marlowe, Gary Merrill, Millard Mitchell, Dean Jagger (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Robert Arthur, Paul Stewart, John Kellogg, Bob Patten, and Joyce Mackenzie. There is a dark 3/4" stain on back at upper right that slightly bleeds through to the front in the art of Peck's headgear (approx 3" to the upper right of his right eye). There are some small tears of varying lengths along parts of the upper right horizontal fold that have some effect on the art in that area and there are some pinholes around the edges. Some of them are torn or enlarged due to rough removal. The poster was folded in half an extra time resulting in a light vertical foldline at left and right.
