An Original Vintage Folded Three-Sheet Magician Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Wallace the Magician, the circa 1920s magic poster ("A production of surprising novelties") advertising a magic show of William Wallace Lee who performed as Wallace the Magician between the early 1910s and the 1950s. Wallace was a magician, cartoonist, and impersonator, and was an expert at "double talk". The poster is undated, but based on its printing quality and appearance, we would say it is surely from the 1920s at the latest. The poster shows a great stone litho image of Wallace the Magician waving a red cape through the air and many toys are falling from the cape! If anyone knows more about this poster or Wallace the Magician, please e-mail us and we will post it here. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 3 sections. Also note that the sections of this poster were folded at one time but have been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. The poster is quite fragile and is separating on parts of many foldlines. There are pinholes, tears, and some areas of paper loss around the edges, and some tears and tiny areas of paper loss on parts of some foldlines. The poster is in urgent need of expert professional restoration. But the poster is mostly "all there", and after a simple linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will look fantastic, and it will likely require very little paint restoration within the image.
