An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Man Wanted, the 1932 William Dieterle romantic love triangle office romance female executive comedy ("The story of a dangerous brunette"; "More beautiful!! Alluring!! Fascinating!!", "More beautiful!! alluring!! fascinating!!"; "Must like brunettes"; about a woman who is the head of a magazine, and she hires a man as her personal secretary, and he quickly proves he is very valuable, but that causes problems with her playboy husband) starring Kay Francis, David Manners, Guy Kibbee, Una Merkel, Andy Devine, and Kenneth Thomson. Note that Kay Francis left Paramount midway in 1932, and she went to Warner Bros., where she became one of their top stars. This movie was released before her Paramount hit, "Trouble in Paradise", but we suspect it was filmed second, but either way, the movies are extremely similar in plot! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1932 movie posters from this Kay Francis movie are incredibly rare. We have never sold even a single poster from this movie until we received this window card! Also note that the window card was folded across the center at one time. Because the card has had restoration (and someone put tape on the back of the middle of the card to reinforce it), we would never re-fold the window card prior to mailing, because we know that re-folding it would damage it. Condition: very good. The card was folded across the middle and it had many creases along that fold, and some stains around the edges. Someone gave it to a restorer who simply put conservation tape on most of the back of the middle fold, and that person did slight touch up to the right end of the middle fold. They also likely cleaned the card around the edges, which has lightened the staining, but not made it invisible. I would think just about every collector would be happy to display this wonderful window card just as it is, or certainly, any talented restorer could paperback it, and restore the minor defects it has.
