Harman") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Dick Powell, The Andrews Sisters (Laverne, Maxene, and Patty Andrews), Claire Dodd, Dick Foran, Butch & Buddy, Condos Brothers, and Shemp Howard NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this herald, and only one in the last 10 years! This is one of a collection of 9 rare heralds from the late 1930s and early 1940s (in 9 separate auctions). Many of them are ones we have either never auctioned before or only auctioned once or twice. The heralds were all printed in the U.S., but were mostly used in theaters in Egypt, so most have overprinting on the back for an Egyptian movie theater. Also, almost all of the heralds have tiny circular holes scattered in the image (sometimes very few, sometimes more). We strongly suggest you look closely at our images of the fronts and backs of these rare heralds before bidding on them, so you can see the location of the tiny circular holes or larger paper loss. We previously auctioned a number of heralds from this same collection, and while there are more left from this collection, all the best titles will have been auctioned after this set of auctions, and likely the remaining ones, which are from lesser movies, will be auctioned in bulk lots. Condition: good. There are around six tiny circular holes scattered in the herald, along with two thin strips of paper loss within the image.
