A Linenbacked Travel Poster (measures 30 1/4" x 39 1/2" [77 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) American Airlines: Texas, the 1950s - 1960s (see below) airplane airline aviation travel poster encouraging people to use American Airlines when flying to the U.S. state of Texas, and featuring Martin Glanzman art of longhorn cows, Texas sights and an airplane. Note that this poster was first used around 1953 and included Joseph Charles Parker artwork of a DC-7 propeller-driven aircraft. The poster was used again in the 1960s but the DC-7 was replaced with an image of a jet (perhaps a Boeing 707). Artist: Joseph Charles Parker & Martin Glanzman Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster was never folded and has the most minor of border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
